In 2008, we were founded by Lilly Endowment Inc. as a ministry of Duke Divinity School. Under the name "Leadership Education at Duke Divinity," we aimed to strengthen Christian institutions that enable U.S. congregations and pastors to flourish. In 2026, we publicly launched a new identity for this work under our new name: the Forum for Congregational Life.
